Apple Announces New Graphics Card For Mac Pro

Apple has announced a new graphics card option for the Intel processor Mac Pro. Here is the AMD Radeon PRO W6600X graphics card and its price!

Apple's March 8 event was quite exciting. Introducing the M1 Ultra processor, which consists of the combination of two M1 Max processors, Apple also offered the Mac Studio, the first computer to use this processor. The Mac Studio can offer 60 percent more performance and is cheaper than the Mac Pro, currently the most expensive Apple computer. However, there was also an improvement on the Mac Pro side at the event.

Although never mentioned, Radeon PRO W6600X has been introduced as the new graphics card option for Mac Studio. Announced for the Intel-based Mac Pro, this graphics card is based on the RDNA 2 architecture and hosts 8 GB of GDDR6 memory.

The graphics card, which has a bandwidth of up to 256 GB / s, is an upgrade of 5100 liras. So when you choose the standard Mac Pro configuration, you have to pay 5100 TL more when you want this graphics card instead of the W5500X that comes with it.

Apple has confirmed that it is working on a new version of the Mac Pro based on Apple Silicon, but it remains unknown when such a device will be released. On the other hand, for processors such as video editing, purchasing the Mac Studio model has become the best price / performance choice.
