The world's largest aircraft, Antonov AN-225, was destroyed recently. A short time ago, images of the wreckage of the plane appeared.
The repercussions of Russia's attack on Ukraine with the decision of a military operation continue. Although the Russian authorities say at every opportunity that our aim is not an invasion, the developments to date show the opposite of this situation. Russia has not exhibited the expected attitude in the negotiation talks with Ukraine until now.
In this context, on the ninth day of Russia's attempt to invade Ukraine, a development closely related to the aviation industry took place. The wreckage of the Antonov AN 225, the world's largest aircraft, which was destroyed by Russia in the hangar at the Hostomel airport near Kiev last week, has emerged.
World's largest plane shattered
Antonov AN-225, which has a very important place in the history of aviation, was produced for the purpose of carrying space orbital vehicles, especially the Buran space shuttle of the Soviet Union. However, the aircraft, which was idle at that time due to the disruption of the space program, was later redesigned and started to be used for cargo transportation.
Antonov AN-225, which came to our country at regular intervals, had 6 turbofan engines and 32 wheels. In addition, the world's largest aircraft stood out with a maximum take-off weight of 640 tons and a fuel consumption of up to 20 tons. In fact, he had previously set a record that is hard to break by carrying a generator weighing 189 tons for a gas power plant in Armenia.
The latest images of the world's largest plane, which was destroyed in the hangar after the war between Russia and Ukraine, emerged a while ago.
