In this process, the company, which released the HarmonyOS operating system in order to minimize its dependence on the USA, is also trying to solve the processor shortage experienced due to the restrictions recently.

Selling Honor, which has been operating under its roof for years in 2020, Huawei lost its market share in the industry to rival manufacturers a long time ago. Today, the company, which continues to work to return to its old days, has recently received a frameless smartphone patent.

Is Huawei working on bezel-less smartphone?

With the developing technology, the push-button phones we used years ago left their place to models with touch screen, fingerprint reading and face recognition. In this context, by 2022, it is expected that framed smartphones will completely disappear from our lives and models with frameless screens will come.

Continuing to work in the shadow of sanctions, Huawei has recently patented a phone that is completely frameless and has a screen-to-body ratio of close to 100 percent. When we look at the patent images, we do not see any front camera on the device. It is highly likely that an under-screen camera or a pop-up camera will be used here.

Apart from the screen of the smartphone, there is no difference from today's models. Likewise, details such as the USB-C port on the bottom, the volume on the right and the power button appear. Of course, it is not clear at the moment whether Huawei's frameless smartphone patent will be implemented.
