Apple, which previously stopped the sale of its products in Russia and sent by doubling every donation made by its employees, will now allow donations to UNICEF to support Ukraine from its official platforms.Launched on Apple.com, this fundraiser directs users to the iTunes page, which allows them to raise funds up to $200 using Apple payment methods. Apple's move makes it easier for customers to donate to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine through UNICEF.How to donate to Ukraine with Apple and UNICEF?Apple has taken drastic action against the crisis in Ukraine, including halting sales operations in Russia and removing several Russian state-sponsored news outlets from the App Store. Another UNICEF-related financial support came from the technology giant.
Apple has announced that all donations made through iTunes will go directly to UNICEF's account in that country (for example, donations from users in Turkey to UNICEF Turkey) and its ongoing efforts to support war-affected families in Ukraine.UNICEF aid to Ukraine is set at $5, $10, $25, $50, $100 or $200 for users in the United States. It should be noted that these amounts may vary from region to region.
Apple's financial support for Ukraine is not limited to this. Apple CEO Tim Cook, who said he was "deeply concerned" about the ongoing conflict, said that twice the donations made by Apple employees to organizations helping Ukraine would be sent. The other sanctions that Apple has taken against Russia are also not to be underestimated. In addition to stopping sales of Apple products in Russia, Russia Today and Sputnik News apps have been removed from all App Stores except Russia.
