Volkswagen has announced that it will establish a new production facility due to the increasing demands for electric vehicles. The company gave the good news that they will first produce the Volkswagen Trinity model at the facility where only electric vehicles will be produced.
Volkswagen Passat is among the most preferred D segment vehicles in our country. Participating in the electric vehicle rush, the company announced that it has started working on Trinity, which will be the equivalent of Passat.
Volkswagen Trinity will be the first model produced at the new facility
The construction of the production facility, which will be established with a budget of 2.2 billion dollars, will begin in 2023. It is estimated that the construction that will start in the Warmenau district of Wolfsburg will be completed in a short time.
Continuing the R&D process for the Level 4 autonomous driving system, Volkswagen will offer fully autonomous driving with the Trinity model in 2026. It is stated that the new model will be the first vehicle to use the SSP electric vehicle platform developed by Volkswagen.
Volkswagen announced that they are working to produce a vehicle at maximum capacity within 10 hours. Stating that they have reduced the complexity in the production line, the authorities underlined that they continue to work to produce faster.

The Trinity plant will be the sister production facility of the existing plant in Wolfsburg, where production of the ID.3 model will begin next year. Once the Trinity facility is finished, it will transform the original facility and serve as the model for future production sites.
