There are hardly any of us who have not tried tiramisu, the most famous dessert of Italian cuisine, and who do not make different applications in their own way. Italian cuisine has another delicious southern dessert that is as famous as tiramisu. Another dessert that spread from America to the world thanks to Italian immigrants is cannoli.

Cannoli is actually a simple dumpling, but it gives you everything expected of a dessert with the crustiness of the dough and the softness of the cheese cream.

Cannoli literally means small pipes. To make these pipes, you will need cannoli molds. But in place of these molds, you can also use metal or wooden sticks that are resistant to hot oil.

Ingredients for Cannoli Recipe

For dough;

200 grams of flour (1 cup)

30 grams of powdered sugar (3 tablespoons)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon grated orange peel

1 egg

For the cheese filling; 200 grams of ricotta cheese (or fresh curd)

4 tablespoons of powdered sugar 1/2

cup crushed pistachios
